Too bad. Being from Wisconsin, I guess Chicago is kind of like your hometown!

hey take it easy, most of us hate Chicago haha. I've been to many shows there tho... Got ticketed for selling my art at furthur in 09. Seen phish down there and actually met John K. from DSO and furthur after a show back in 06-07. They skipped WI altogether this summer (UGH!). They usually hit milwaukee and madison. Im mostly upset that i missed a single drummer era show and missing the morning dew. Seen them around 15 times and have yet to get a morning dew.

Ooooh ya! I'm just kidding around with you, my cheesehead friend -- riffing off of all this Chicagoland nonsense.

Hey no worries! and with the chi town drama stuff... tell me about it. Why is there incessant bickering around these parts?

There is some weird legacy of internet drama connected to other GD forums, and whether or not some controversial person posts under various aliases and pretends to be other people. It has always been a feature of the GD scene however and wherever it manifests that there are some weird, sketchy elements that you just have to shrug and not let it disrupt your appreciation. For some people it is something serious, others are just engaging in satire, I think. I like to stay focused on the music. It's probably just my placid and calm midwestern cultural heritage, us Wisconsin types can dodge the traditional rivalries like East Coast vs. West Coast shows, although occasionally the definition of Chicagoland can cause controversy, I guess.

its on the dead.net website. He does a weekly (?) blog. Most are pretty good. Many times tho they seem to be more unrelated to the dead than I would prefer.
